Trenches for Teachers is a comprehensive design and build service providing reproduction trench systems and resources for schools, colleges and other establishments with a modern and accessible interpretation on trench life during the First World War. We are also a provider of replica equipment, resources, training and consultancy, experience days and bespoke projects relating to military history for education, learning, media and events.
Headed by military historian and ex-teacher Andy Robertshaw, schools can benefit from presentations and lessons through to the installation of a real trench system on their premises providing genuine hands-on history access for students all year round.
Coupled with any existing school visits to the battlefields of France and Flanders, teachers and students can now enjoy both experiences and truly begin to understand life as a soldier during the ‘war to end all wars’.
Trenches have been installed at:-
Haileybury College
The Potteries Museum, Staffordshire
The Black Watch Museum, Perth
